St. Johannes College (SJC) has been changing students’ lives through the power of education since 1962.

Founded in 1962 by the late Dr. Thomas T.S Liang, St. Johannes College (SJC) is an Independent Private-Local School that offers a holistic and stimulation educational experience, and a bilinguistic curriculum for students in Hong Kong from Pre-Nursery to Primary.

Our teachers are extremely passionate and committed to ensuring our diverse and international students develop social skills, creative thinking, effective communication and critical-thinking necessary to achieve success and overcome obstacles in an ever changing world, whilst ensuring our students understand the importance of learning as a community.

We are constantly evolving to the needs of the 21st century to establish a strategic education that thoroughly prepares our students.

We are leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of tomorrow.

Our Mission

St. Johannes College’s mission is to educate and empower the youth, our leaders of tomorrow. We seek to accomplish this through our bespoke teaching methods. By beginning in the classroom, we pursue academic excellence, accelerated learning, the frequent exchange of new ideas to form innovative ways of knowledge acquisition and connectivity.

Kindergarten

Located at our 109 Campus, our Kindergarten section continues with a thematic and project based learning curriculum with English as the primary language of instruction, where our teachers foster students to engage in real-world problem solving and critical thinking as they investigate and respond to complex problems and challenges.

Our teachers also aim to help our students learn about collaborations, and to develop a deeper understanding of important skills for the future through many different activities and field trips.

Primary

Located at our 143 Campus, our Primary section’s curriculum focuses on fundamental subjects like English, Chinese, Math, General Studies, Moral Education, Mandarin, Music, Art, Physical Education and Information Communication Technology (ICT).

Our goal is to lay strong solid ground work in these core areas, fostering literacy, numeracy and a broad understanding of themselves and the world.
